Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

This policy explains what personal information Torgo collects when you join our waiting list, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We keep this deliberately short and plain.

Who we are

Torgo (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a mobile app for discovering car boot sales and hidden treasures. For the purposes of UK data protection law, the data controller is the individual who operates Torgo, based in the United Kingdom, contactable at support@torgo.co.uk.

What we collect

At this pre-launch stage, when you join our waiting list we collect only:

We do not currently collect your name, location, or payment details through this website. Our email delivery is handled by FormSubmit, which forwards your submission to our inbox; you can review their practices on their website.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your email address only to:

Our lawful basis for this is your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time (see “Your rights” below), and every email we send will include an unsubscribe option.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until Torgo launches and you have had the chance to create an account, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe, we delete your address from our waiting list promptly.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. We only share it with the service providers that help us operate the waiting list (such as our form and email tools), and only so they can perform that function on our behalf. We may disclose information if required to by law.

Cookies and analytics

This waiting-list page does not set marketing or tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand basic, aggregated traffic (such as page views and where visitors come from). It is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint or track individuals, and collects no personal data. You can read more in Cloudflare’s Web Analytics privacy information.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict our use of it. To exercise any of these, email us at support@torgo.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

As Torgo grows, particularly once the app itself launches and collects more than an email address, we will update this policy and revise the “last updated” date above.
